Hi! I'm Fumi, a PhD student in Computational and Systems Immunology at Stanford Medicine, advised by Dr. Prasanna Jagannathan. Broadly, I'm interested in studying infectious diseases that disproportionately affect underserved populations — and in the Jagannathan Lab, I study the mechanisms driving naturally acquired immunity to malaria.
I grew up in Japan and came to the U.S. for my B.S. in Computational Biology at Harvey Mudd College, where I developed hybrid experimental and computational skills through research at Scripps Research, Johns Hopkins University, and the National University of Singapore.
