Hi, I’m Fumi, a PhD student in Immunology at Stanford Medicine. My work applies molecular genomics to global health, with a focus on immune responses to infectious diseases that disproportionately affect underserved populations.
I study host–pathogen interactions and mechanisms of immune evasion, integrating experimental immunology with computational analysis to uncover mechanistic insights relevant to translational and population-level health.
Originally from Japan, I received my B.S. in Computational Biology from Harvey Mudd College and have conducted research at Scripps Research, Johns Hopkins University, and the National University of Singapore.
I welcome collaboration and interdisciplinary engagement -- feel free to reach out:)
